The Whyte Review has been published today. You can read the Review in full here, whilst the BAC statement reacting to the publication is below:

"Having supported over 280 individuals – and their families – affected by abuse and mistreatment in gymnastics, we are pleased to see such a comprehensive and thorough Whyte Review published today.

"For this, we would like to place on record our thanks to UK Sport and Sport England, who listened to the concerns which we raised back in 2020, and commissioned the independent review which we believed was vital to adequately investigate the experiences which were being relayed to us. We would also like to thank Anne Whyte QC and her team, whom we have witnessed first-hand give due care and compassion to all those who have come forward to share their experiences.

"It is also vitally important to recognise that today’s developments wouldn’t have been possible without the courage of the victims, who have spoken out about their experiences to inform the Review and to bring about positive change.

"Therefore, it is imperative that release of the finalised Review isn’t seen as simply marking the end of a process; it is crucial that it signals a new chapter in which the recommendations made by Anne Whyte QC and her team are implemented with full transparency and accountability by British Gymnastics, and given due consideration by the entire sporting system, in order for participants and observers to have full confidence in the safety and integrity of sport at all levels."
