As the representative body for over 40 sports, we have the unique ability to connect athletes with each other across the sporting world.
We help to foster a sense of the athlete village throughout the year with our community efforts, and a key part of that is by bringing athletes together through our networks. Crucially, we connect athletes through our private digital platform, where they can make contact and catch-up no matter their era or discipline.
We also run networks for athlete parents, LGBTQ+ athletes, and Athlete Representatives, who learn and develop off one another. Find out more below.
OUR NETWORKS
Parents’ network
We run a network linking elite athletes balancing their sporting careers with parenthood. For mums and dads, pre- and post-childbirth, the network allows athlete parents to share their experiences and advice, and has been used to shape research and pregnancy guidance.
We offer a supportive space for LGBTQ+ athletes and allies to get advice and share their experiences, linking you in with our LGBTQ+ and ED&I Ambassadors Robyn Love and Michael Gunning.
The British Elite Athletes Alumni platform is a free digital community exclusively for former elite athletes. It is only available to those formerly on the World Class Programme, allowing them to connect with fellow alumni, and to access resources designed for life after professional sport.
The BEAA helps to recruit and train Athlete Representatives across elite British sport to provide support to or elevate the concerns of their World Class Programme peers.
The parents’ network is great initiative that helped me and my partner connect with other parent athletes and share stories and experiences
